Veterans Music Programs

Music as a tool for healing, creativity, and connection.

Our music programs introduce veterans to guitar, singing, songwriting, music production, and performance in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment. Participants build confidence, explore creative expression, and connect with others through the shared experience of music.

Arts & Visual Creativity

Creating space for expression through hands-on art experiences.

We partner with local artists, studios, and creative businesses to host painting, mixed-media, and collaborative art sessions for veterans and military families. These workshops encourage self-expression, stress relief, and community connection while supporting local creatives.

Theater & Performance

Confidence, storytelling, and community through the performing arts.

Through acting, improvisation, and live performance opportunities, participants strengthen communication skills and build confidence in a welcoming environment. We are proud to partner with A.D. Players at The George Theater in Houston to help create meaningful theatrical experiences for veterans and their families.

Woodworking Workshops

Hands-on creativity with purpose and craftsmanship.

Our woodworking workshops teach practical building skills while encouraging teamwork and creativity. Through partnered classes with Charred & Starred, veterans participate in custom wooden flag-making workshops and other hands-on projects designed to foster connection and accomplishment.

Life Skills & Literacy

Resources, education, and support for life beyond service.

This program focuses on personal growth and community empowerment through financial literacy, networking opportunities, guided discussions, educational workshops, and access to local resources. We aim to help veterans build confidence, strengthen community ties, and navigate civilian life with support.

“Through Stay Tuned for Vets allowing myself and family to go see Fiddler on the Roof I was able experience a sense of normalcy through my transitioning back into a civilian.  The event was memorable and enjoyable and have high hopes for what organization will do for active duty and veterans.”

Victor W., USMC Veteran

“I attended the painting event with my daughter. The event provided time for us to not only connect as a family, but also with fellow veterans in our community. These experiences are invaluable to let us know that we are not alone. Thank you.”

Sally G., USMC Veteran

“Stay Tuned for Vets introduced me to ballroom dancing, and it completely changed my life. At 70 years old, I’ve gained confidence, friendships, improved health, and a hobby I plan to enjoy for many years to come.”

Ray T., Navy Veteran

"Facilitating an event for Stay Tuned for Vets provided me with a wonderful opportunity to learn from and work alongside veterans. While I recognize that I still have some refining to do on my end, I’ve managed to create a great space for a small, intimate class with direct access to the head of the class. This experience has truly inspired me to aim for bigger and more organized events in the future. I'll get there, step by step. Thank you for this incredible opportunity!"

Daniel L., USMC Veteran, Woodworking Instructor

“Stay Tuned for Vets helped me step outside my comfort zone and discover creative activities like painting and dancing that I truly enjoy. These experiences not only supported my mental health, but also showed my family the importance of taking time to heal, grow, and connect.”

Donny D., USMC Veteran

“The equine therapy program gave us a peaceful and welcoming space to connect with other Veterans and openly support one another. Working with the horses was calming, meaningful, and an experience we’re grateful to have been part of.”

Amber & Stephen C., Army & USMC Veterans
